Commercial Solar PV — Installation & Maintenance

Bespoke, scalable solar systems for UK businesses. Cut your energy bills, cut your carbon emissions and power a greener business — installed and maintained by approved, certified contractors.

Why Ascot Renewables

Commercial solar, engineered to deliver.

Six reasons the UK's most demanding commercial clients choose us to design, install and maintain their renewable energy systems.

Low-Cost Installation

Direct-labour delivery, trusted supply-chain pricing and lean project management — commercial solar without the premium markup.

Bespoke & Scalable Systems

Every roof, every load profile is different. We design PV arrays that fit your building, your usage and your future expansion plans.

Power a Greener Business

Cut Scope 2 emissions, meet ESG reporting targets and give your customers a clear sustainability story backed by real generation data.

Large-Scale Solar Projects

Industrial estates, warehouses, offices and multi-site rollouts — we specialise in commercial PV from 30kWp to megawatt-scale.

Cut Carbon Emissions

A typical 100kWp commercial array offsets around 20 tonnes of CO₂ per year. We provide the reporting to prove it.

Approved & Certified Contractors

Fully insured, MCS-standard workmanship, G99 grid-compliant installations and DNO liaison handled end-to-end.

Installation

From feasibility to commissioning — handled end-to-end.

We deliver full turnkey commercial solar projects. One accountable team, no sub-contractor chains — from the first drone survey to the day your system exports its first kWh.

  1. 01

    Site Survey & Feasibility

Drone roof survey, structural assessment, shading analysis and half-hourly consumption modelling to size the system correctly.

  2. 02

    Bespoke System Design

Panel layout, inverter strategy, DC/AC balance and cable routing designed around your building — never a copy-paste template.

  3. 03

    DNO & Grid Approval

We handle G99 applications, DNO liaison and export limitation so your project connects cleanly and compliantly.

  4. 04

    Installation & Commissioning

Scaffold, mounting, panels, inverters, PVDB and isolators — installed by certified engineers with full RAMS and site safety plans.

  5. 05

    Handover & Monitoring

Live generation monitoring, O&M documentation, warranties and staff briefing — you know exactly what your system is producing.

Maintenance & O&M

Protect your generation. Protect your investment.

A PV system is a 25-year asset — and it only delivers if it's looked after. Our commercial O&M packages keep every panel, inverter and connection performing at peak yield.

  • Annual PV performance inspections & I-V curve testing
  • Inverter servicing, firmware updates and fault diagnostics
  • Panel cleaning and bird / pest proofing
  • PVDB, isolator and AC/DC electrical safety checks
  • Roof, mounting and weather-seal integrity surveys
  • Monitoring platform setup, alerts and generation reporting
  • Reactive call-outs for underperformance or outages
  • End-of-warranty inspections and system optimisation

FAQs

Common questions about commercial solar.

From installation timelines and certifications to maintenance, carbon savings and funding — quick answers to the questions we hear most.

How long does a commercial solar installation take?

Most commercial rooftop systems are fully installed and commissioned within 4–8 weeks from DNO approval. Larger ground-mounted or multi-site rollouts can take 8–16 weeks. We keep disruption to a minimum by phasing scaffold, mounting and electrical work around your operations.

Are your solar contractors certified and insured?

Yes. We work to MCS-standard workmanship, G99 grid-compliance and full DNO liaison. Every installation is carried out by insured, certified engineers and comes with complete RAMS, warranties and commissioning documentation.

What maintenance options do you offer for solar PV systems?

We provide flexible O&M packages including annual performance inspections, inverter servicing, panel cleaning, bird proofing, electrical safety checks, monitoring setup and reactive call-outs. One-off health checks are also available.

How much carbon can a commercial solar system save?

A typical 100kWp commercial array offsets around 20 tonnes of CO₂ per year — equivalent to taking several cars off the road. We provide generation reporting so you can prove your Scope 2 reductions and ESG progress.

Are there funding options or grants for commercial solar?

Many clients finance solar through asset finance, power purchase agreements (PPAs) or green business loans. We can also advise on available tax incentives such as the 50% first-year allowance for capital expenditure on solar PV.
